Yep, made the same decision after Bournemouth. Left the Amex at 2pm for an 8pm ko, and got home about 1am. Did have a stop at the UK’s worst service station on the way down (because we’d left too early).

Parked the car in Wandsworth and had a 30 min stroll to the ground. The walk back afterwards was basically past 2 miles of completely gridlocked traffic North of the river so nor surprised. Back in Burgess Hill by 6.45..........weather not helping now either, already a couple of shunts on M23/25...
