    [Football] Wayne Rooney’s Derby County

Would have thought they will both be good enough for Championship moves.

The place was absolutely bouncing, the Derby audience were really something to behold, you can see why they were the pioneers of the 'everywhere we go...' song that is now so popular up and down the country.

Wazza has done a quite magnificent job, some people lookvery foolish now judging by some posts in the beginning of the thread.

Wazza doing a quite sensational job and you look at the talent they've let go, the likes of Dwayne Holmes who looks an absolute superstar at Huddersfield, Mason Bennett, Richard Keogh .. They've got a real chance of staying up if they can get a new owner across the line in January.

You have to admire the way 'Wazza' has gone about his business this season. Nobody gave Derby a chance, and yet there they are currently sitting pretty halfway up the league with some notable scalps already. He's done a magnificent job for them and his stock has risen, I think if a bigger EFL...

So dissapointing to hear of th racist and homophobic abuse today from Derby fans at Peterborough. Hope the EFL throw the book at them.

Further turmoil at Derby. Players turned up this morning and were handed contracts with no wages on, contracts need to be signed by midday tomorrow for them to be eligible to play their opener at Huddersfield on Saturday. What a sorry state of affairs, got to feel sorry for Wazza...

Another point and clean sheet for Wazza, unbeaten in 5 now since taking the helm. Great to see. :clap2:

Unbeaten in 4 now for Wazza at Derby. Excellent point at Brentford last night, handled the racism at Millwall excellently at the weekend. Think his reputation and credentials for taking the job permanently are growing by the day.

JT very warm favourite for the gig now and rumoured to be taking Ashley Cole as his assistant, a tad surprising given how JT came out of the Anton Ferdinand documentary and essentially ruined his career but I guess can see why Rio referred to him as a choc ice now.

Glass half full that's two games unbeaten and by all accounts much improved performances than under Cocu. With a large January warchest Wazza can keep you up.

Looks like it's a straight fight between JT and Wazza for the Derby job, both will go onto be excellent managers, be interesting to see who the new owners pick and they are set to be given a £25m warchest in January to keep them in the Championship.

This is a fabulous story.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55043019 What a good egg Mel Morris is and what a fine young man. Wazza has got serious competition for the job.

George Burley said he'd welcome the opportunity to speak to Derby.

Big Sam would keep Derby up and that's about the best they're going to achieve this season. Relegation for a club of their size and with the incoming massive investment would be a disaster so Big Sam is the steady hand at the tiller they need as a stop gap until they go and get a big name next...

Wazza huge favourite for the gig, from what I understand the new owners are willing to put in money to Derby which will make the likes of Chelsea and Tottingham seem like small change down the back if the sofa
