Agreed . He's also hardly the only football journalist, who don't have the relationship, to make the point that he's still a very good coach, that he was given a tough hand to play with - given Boehly and the bloated squad, and that the sacking - although not a surprise - was perhaps a mistake.

He saw a replay - the Sky angle via Twitter - and said he now agreed VAR should have sent the ref to the monitor. Hence agreed, like you , that it was a penalty. Perhaps a stonewall one. What is it about that , that you're still upset about ?

He literally saw a different replay and said having now seen that - tweeted immediately VAR should have given it. .

If , by wrong, you mean he changed his mind on seeing more angles/footage. Then. He did.

Ridiculous. I saw it in real time from the East Stand Upper - didn't look like a penalty to me. I've now seen that angle and think it was. Am i trolling fans or just honestly reporting what i think.

At first he did. And then, having seen the replay/different angle said . "Yes they did" to the question - Have Villa "got away with it ?" having seen the Sky clip that they shared on twitter. And said VAR should have sent the ref to the monitor - ie: give the penalty.

He hasn’t called anyone nasty . What I have seen is a thread on here calling Potter “nasty” (really ? ) and We are Brighton calling him a “bastard” . That’s not panto, that’s just Abuse.

The tweet that this thread is about just remarked that booing Bruno - at the end of the game - was sad. Plenty might reflect that it was, how did come to this ? - but plenty might say - he deserves it. But so what ? Should he not be able to report this stuff ?

He’s literally watched every match - home and away - for nearly 35 years. I appreciate The Athletic’s coverage of the Albion (it’s not just AN ) so you don’t speak for all fans. And he comes into his own during transfer windows. Clearly not an irrelevance to fans then as his reporting on NSC...

This isn’t the gotcha it’s portrayed as . Potter isn’t employing Winstanley is he. ? Either way - I think quite a lot of fans quite enjoy being “goaded” by his rather mild reporting. Some of the insulting stuff on this thread is ridiculous.
