Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

This is such a good pic of AK. (via: http://www.brightonandhoveindependent.co.uk/sport/football/hughton-on-atletico-madrid-test-knockaert-s-return-ryan-mistake-and-propper-rumours-1-8090232 )

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Agreed. Of course. But wise to also acknowledge that we've so far not played a match, everyone is in the same boat, nobody agrees that strengthening is not required, we actually do have some decent players and its premature to pass a verdict on our squad until business is complete.

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Agreed . Further strengthening is necessary. No arguments there. Hughton et all all agree. But the view, prevalent on here, that the remaining squad , and we've not lost any key players, has overnight suddenly become merely a "solid champ side" and has no experience (500+ prem league or La...

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Hughton has already said , as in previous equivalent fixtures, that he will be putting out a side close to the one that will start against Man City at least for the first 45 or 60 or so.

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Can't believe how patronising we're getting about a team who walked the Championship last season. And like it or not , without even more signings to come , have been strengthened further in the summer. "solid championship team" ? Sounds like you're talking about Burton Albion not Brighton and...

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Its not to do with the ref reporting it. its because it was 2 yellows which is a 1 game suspension. (thus missing AM) If it was straight red (violent conduct) it would have been a 3 game suspension (thus missing Man City +1). I thought friendlies didn't count but apparently they do.

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

We've had Chelsea, Sevilla, Lazio and er, Norwich down here recently and some one says this every year. Not sure why. In fact they always put out most of their first team squad. Why wouldn't they ? They need to get em fit / ready for the new season like we do.

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

I don't know but Chelsea, Lazio, Sevilla etc all played first team squads in our previous equivalent friendlies. Albion normally start with their likely starting 11 or thereabouts for opening league game of the season for this type of match (but freely use subs as well in 2nd half).

Atletico De Madrid friendly at the Amex?

Warning. it might well do so. They have sold 14K tickets already. Unprecedented 6 weeks or so out from the match. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/15349692.14_000_and_counting___Albion_fans_snap_up_Atleti_tickets/

It was £30 for Chelsea in 2012. Lazio, Sevilla, Southampton etc were in the 10-15 range.
