What on earth are you on about ~ there are dozens and dozens of shops in the North Laines and they must outnumber the pubs by 30~1! From memory Gardner Street has one pub ~ The Dorset, Sydney Street has The Office and Kensington Gardens has The Kensington or whatever! OK there are pubs in NoRth...

We will have to take on face value what you are saying about your family business however I know a lot of people try and blame the Greens because their business is performing poorly due to the recession, to internet shopping and to out of town shopping malls. Why on earth in this day and age...

You may well be right and theres a large part of what you are saying that I would not disagree with BUT the poster that I replied to said that the Green council has brought businesses to their knees and that is utter shyte!!

Your original post said that the Greens had brought businesses 'to their knees' but the FACT is that Brighton and Hoves economy has stood up relatively well to the recession and only two weeks ago the Argus reported that the city is doing fairly well compared to other comparable towns and cities...

Actually you can apply for a traders permit by post and as they last 3 or 12 months it's hardly a hardship is it? And as they cost approx £50~ a month or £2.50 a day Monday to Friday that is not some sort of major expense that you seem to imply as well!!

Perhaps you can explain the nonsensical comment that 20mph 'only works when the traffic is flowing?! I drove along the Kings Road coast road yesterday morning where the speed limit is 30mph and the traffic certainly wasn't 'flowing' then ~ so doe this mean that 30mph doesn't work either?!!

As Brighton and Hoves economy has fared relatively well during the recession and above the regional average perhaps you want to tell us on what evidence you are basing this claptrap?!
