They were all obsolete long before 2009 though. Tech development 09-14 just hasn't been as drastic as say 1999-2004. The thing I can see becoming obsolete in the next 5 years is the 'tower' desktop computer. While people will still use them for work & school, I can't see the average user picking...

But minidisc was dead long before 2009 though. I can't think of anything that I used in 2009 that I still don't use now.

The problem with this article is that 5 years is a very short space of time. What is obsolete from 5 years ago now?
