He does need the support.
A big reason he's not getting it on my view is that he's replaced a fans favourite who is still at the club and who 80%+ of the fanbase would still be picking if they were the manager.
No excuse for not fully supporting the 11 in blue and white though.
And one of our finest ever players .... a very recently retired right back....... barely touched the ball with his left foot throughout his many years with us. Though he had completely perfect the outside of the right foot pass infield for use in the rare situation he found himself short of time
I'll guess it's because for every bad mistake Lewis makes, he's made up for it and more with many examples of fabulous football. Nobody is faultless.... and i'm not having a pop at Webster, but Lewis is absolutely miles ahead of him on his performances this season and over the last, about 5 seasons
Agree. But they've also signed a long term contract and are enjoying the security of that and will know that we have spent or invested many millions of pounds to bring them here.
Yes I think they will stay.
Firstly, because, as stated above, whatever cash they offer us, won't be as much as what we'll lose if we're relegated. Secondly, because when Bloom said he wants to become a top 10 club, I believe he meant it, and thirdly if we do decide to recruit more players I...
I'm not sure that the idea of buying and selling clubs exists in the same way as it did in the past. Teams in our position stand to lose such a colossal amount of money if they're relegated that it makes perfect business sense to refuse to sell at any price which could conceivably be paid...
Those figures don't surprise me and of course there's an element of some will make money and some will lose money.
However, I think you are ignoring the effect of sell on clauses. Normann is a good example of someone we sold on for a similar amount, who is now worth a lot more than that...
The way I see it, the academy can be self financing without big ticket player sales. It costs, (I read on here) about £3 to 5m per year and I think we can make this back by selling players who probably won't quite make the first team grade anyway. This year, or at the latest next year, we will...
Yes, just say we did sell White for £20m. How much would we have to spend to recruit a player of similar quality?
When you factor in the increased relegation danger of selling your assets, it would make no business sense
Bloom has said he wants to flog off anyone of value at the first opportunity and continually be in relegation danger? Not sure he has.
I genuinely don't think that Bloom is running this academy for profit. If he was, the women and girls bit wouldn't be going up at the moment.
I may be...
Leeds.
They play some beautiful passing football from back to front
Have a coach with a clear playing philosophy and footballing identity
They don't quite manage to take their chances when they're on top
They have an inexplicable loss of form for a period in a game in which they've been...
I'm enjoying watching Leeds and want them to win.
Anyone got a kilo of soap and a brillo pad? I need to scour myself and purge these unnatural feelings
All this .....let White have the seen at Leeds for his development.... It's very far sighted and all, but if we do go down with one very under performing centre back. Maybe it wasn't actually that far sighted.
We're being too complacent that we'll stay up. Throw the kitchen sink at survival...
Possibly mate, but I just absolutely refuse to believe that Tony has spent all that money on the academy, just to sell the brightest starlets. There has been no evidence that he is looking to sell to recoup money. There's plenty of evidence he's prepared to do what it takes to turn us into a...
