Compared with the 60's, 70's and (to a lesser extent), the 90's, the 80's were (and remain) a much maligned decade, to a lot of people. I have come to see that era more fondly, as there are so many songs that actually were really memorable, and it surprises me how many I still know the lyrics...

I do recall many mishaps in there, particularly the times I used to throw/spin a bottle of juice in the air, before catching it the right way up and using the opener in a flash....until a bottle of tomato juice had a loose cap. Jeez.....it...
I usually found the energy somewhere, or from someone ....:lolol:
Mostly, we all stayed behind for a lock-in and played pool (for cash) until it was almost time to open in the morning.
The 80's was the last decade of a massive diversity, musically, imho. The 90's had it's moments, especially the indie /Brit Pop period, but since then,.....meh, overall.
Gotta be honest - in 1982 I was still working my way through the fab stuff from the 60's and 70's, so most of the 80's passed me by.
With hindsight, there was some fabulous stuff during the 80's (although the vast majority was not to my taste) and my soul still resides in the previous two...
