Arguably he has been worse since he's played in front of the 2 holding. I'm merely pointing out where I think he's better placed with the talent he does possess, but he needs the right players to play around him. He hasn't had this and that's why he's been below par IMO.

Jfc would be far better suited playing a deeper holding role with 2 more dynamic, attacking/creative types in front of him IMO. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury currently. Personally I don't like 2 holding players but when your short of the right kind of players, you have to go with what...

IMO you play JFC when you have two other marauding CMs who can get beyond the striker and support play at speed. Southgate has this at U21 level and JFC can play his passing game, sideways, backwards, keep ball etc... and look ok. When you stick him in the BHA team he doesn't have that...

ahhhh 1 game makes all the difference.............
