theres only the 2/hr regular from Vic plus a couple from LB in the rush hour. if you can make the train from Victoria thats probably easiest, otherwise anything to Brighton change at HH onto whatever goes that way next.

i would definatly do this if i were coming from London, change at Haywards Heath if not already on an Eastbourne train.
note on Saturdays where they put on longer trains, on return need to be in the front 5 (or 6?) cars to get off at Lewes.
interesting how people see things differently. you say you've allowed 30 mins which seems reasonable, i see that as allowing one train (only three cars at that), i see that as risky for catching the start. not attributing "fault", just interesting perspectives.
the thing is, you can only get so many trains down the line. apparently fewer than you'd think due to signalling. at the weekend they squeeze some extra services and have the rolling stock available for longer trains. evening games, i dont think there's much can be done unless the club buy...
