    firstly, because being the 5th/6th economy in the world and 2nd/3rd in Europe, and a net importer of EU goods, its in their interests to do so. they would lose more than us if they didnt. secondly because the general move internationally is towards free trade.

    out. arrange treaties on import/export, movement of people and capital, regional and industry subsidies on our own basis to suit our needs. just as we would have 40 years ago. get rid of two or three additional layers of bureaucracy and see a significant cost saving from the process.
