I took MK dons up and had a fairly decent first season in the prem finishing 15th. My success had been noticed throughout the 'game' as I had offers at the end of the season from West Ham who finished 14th, and Celtic, who had had the worst season since the start of game...
My long running save in which I started unemployed with no experience or badges is still going. In to 2021 now. Sitting 2nd in the championship with MK dons. I really believe we can get promoted this year. Before the start of the season I was offered interviews with Hull and Newcastle both in...
Won the Conference with Bromley - That's two trophies/promotions in four seasons in my management career. Was a funny season, as I had struggled to find a striker who would regularly put the ball in the net. Ryan Bird, who striker who scored 30+ in the previous two seasons, seemed to completely...
Ah, I love it when this thread pops up. I'm still Bromley manager and just finished the 3rd season. I won the League in the second which was my first full season as Bromley manager and guided them to a comfortable mid table finish in the Vanarama Conference the following year after I was...
Things did not go well for me at Hyde. Found myself slipping down to the bottom of the table and was beginning to feel the pressure from the media and the board. Scoring goals was not a problem for me. Was scoring, on average, 2 goals a game. But conceding 3/4. I ran before I was pushed.
After...
I started fresh last night starting with no coaching badges, Sunday league experience, and unemployed.
After a few weeks I was offered the Hyde job in the vanarama north. Good for me as I spend a lot of time in Hyde.
I took over with one week to go before the season started, with the club...
I've slipped down the table to 8th due to my inability to score at the moment. I have dominated every game but the ball just wont go in the net. Then the other team will have one chance at the end and score. Now where have we seen that before..
I'm playing a 4-1-2-2-1 with 1 DM, 2 CM, 2 on the wing and a lone striker.
I have my right winger (Ritchie) set to winger, support. And My left winger (LuaLua/Lingaard) playing as inside forward, support. One CM as Advanced Playmaker, attack and the other as central midfielder, support.

Really enjoying this game. I think I have sorted out the injury problem now. It seems that this years version links injuries to your tactics a lot more. So avoiding the team instructions 'Close Down More' & 'Higher Tempo' until your players are 100% match fit has resulted in no fresh injuries...
Made an excellent start, but riddled with injuries. Certainly looks like a bug that needs fixing.
Got off to a flyer beating Wednesday 3-0, then fielded a weakened side to play away to Newport, and came out with a 5-2 victory. A 3-1 win over Birmingham and a 0-0 draw away to Leeds sees me 3rd...
I started fresh last night with Brighton. Spent a lot of time setting up pre-season training and tactics and gave my team plenty of friendlies to familiarise with my tactics by having loads of match prep. Still one friendly to go tonight before it all kicks off.
Been quite on the transfer...
That is, of course, the best way to play the game. I think once I'm bored of managing Brighton, I will start a new game unemployed with no coaching badges or experience. Take a job in the conference north/south and just see how far i can take my 'career'
Another one to get rid of Jones and Burke here too. I do think it's a little unrealistic that the manager can get rid of the DOF though. I'm assuming you don't actually have to hire a new one?
I'm going to be looking for an assistant manager with a high 'tactical knowledge' rating. Seeing as I...
I got him on the beta after my big money (£2.1m + add ons) signing, Matt Ritchie, got injured for 4-5 months after just 3 games, and he never really got going. An average rating of about 6.7. Ritchie, on the other hand was fantastic for 3 games. A hatrick in the first, A goal and an assist in...
