The one that got away, I’m still furious that we didn’t appoint Franck Haise

My only grumble is being too cavalier in a few games early on when 0-0 or 0-1. West Ham and Everton at home probably the worst examples. Players en masse including full backs 70 yards upfield, gifting more than half the pitch to opposition pace men. Wolves second half was similar, Neto just...

Not according to others here Einstein :lolol: . He'll flop at a bigger club due to the pressures.

The antithesis of Boehly's Chelsea, Manure 2013 to 2023. Brighton, Liverpool, Sporting Lisbon examples of getting most transfers spot on. ManC could be added but they do attract with vast salaries. Spending - you'll find that the big CL clubs will still have great spending power.

[Albion] Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi drawing attention of Europe's top clubs

RDZ is an exceptional and innovative coach. Note how Dunk, March, Gross, Mitoma, MacAllister all improved their game, I bet they rate him. Imperfect obviously, but this season he’s managed with a raft of injuries and the summer 2023 transfer window didn’t deal with RB, LB and DM. I see the...

Both were similar to me too. Gamesmanship. But I thought we played better on Saturday. Villa, we fell for Emery’s oh so obvious tactics.

Villa too - we taking them apart, 1-0 up and he limped off early doors. After that they played a counter attack game, naively we offered them our entire half, only Dunk in defence with his football brain spotting danger.

All we really need is a striker who can score more regularly, breaking the deadlock against Fulham for example, tucking away half chances. The problem is that those players are sought by all European clubs, therefore the fees/wages involved are huge.

[Albion] Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi drawing attention of Europe's top clubs

It's pretty obvious really. Imho RDZ would've moved on by summer 2024. Imagine what he can achieve with a squad with a reliable striker. Unless you luck out with a Toney or Mitrovic, reliable top flight strikers are out of our financial league. I hope selfishly it's to club I don't mind...
