I went to tons of Scottish stadia between 1988 and 1994, many of them since gone, replaced by shiny Lego stadia eg Airdrieonians.
I remember the pies - mince meat in shortcrust pastry. Delicious.
Did Malpas play later on?
That was one of our snowiest and coldest winters. Must’ve been plenty of match postponements and incredibly cold in Dundee in general?
I watched games at quite a few Scottish grounds, including an Albion Rovers home league match in Coatbridge - attendance 250!
In a concrete bowl that once held 10,000's from a past era of huge occasional attendances. Normally when Rangers or Celtic were in town.
Rangers - used to go to Ibrox matches during holidays spent in Scotland, during the McCoist playing era. Got a buzz out of the incredible atmosphere. (I liked all the Scottish folk I met, by the way).
