Fair enough. They were owned by asset strippers in the mould of Bill The Cnt Archer. Why should the real supporters suffer any more?

Blackpool’s attendance on Saturday was 15,871, almost quadruple the 4,003 who watched the last league match there a month ago under the Oyston’s. Great to see that.

Criminal proceedings could follow later if the Receiver found; fraud, negligent or deliberate trading, preferential treatment of a creditor, breach of the Companies Act, etc, etc.

The receiver has been appointed to take control of all company/ies assets including cash. They’ll run through the correct order of creditors to see who can be repaid. That will take quite a long time. If there’s an insufficiency, inevitably some will lose out. Separately, if the Oyston’s...

Thank you for your insightful posts. I’ve always lumped Archer/Stanley, Oyston’s and the former Wrexham owner together, as the lowest of the low in club owners. Self interested tunnel vision for the cash or land. Not a jot of interest in the history or the 10,000’s of local ‘stakeholders’.

But the implications for the Oyston's might include: Contempt of court. Banning orders as directors of companies, affecting their interests for example, Blackpool FC. To carry on as 'shadow directors' behind the scenes is a criminal offence.

The intellect of a High Court judge will always see through the lies and waffle of chancers.

Which would be similar to the way Liverpool finally got rid of 100% shareholders Hicks and Gillett. The bank, acting with honourable Board members, were able to seize control as Hicks/Gillett couldn't provide funding to repay the RBS loan to the club by a deadline. In effect, momentarily RBS...
