In my opinion falling to win the 'cup final' with home advantage against a Bristol City team that never win away, was our undoing.
All season long I had the away trips to PL squad/monied Norwich and Villa as defeats.
Newcastle - the same as our encounters with Liverpool over the years. Decent football fans, wishing us well if we get a result, no nasty arrogance if they win.
Newcastle gave us every opportunity to win the title, we didn't take them, so the final table didn't lie.

Before a ball was kicked this season, I can't stand Villa, Derby and Wednesday (all entitled, spiteful sets of fans), and everyone on NSC seems to hate Leeds. I don't mind Newcastle, so a relatively good outcome.
Beat Albion home and away. Over the 46 games they were marginally the best. Fully deserved. Brighton's cheaper, thinner and less illustrious squad (and the oldest in the division according to the national media), ran out of steam early.
