I didn't notice that, I was only interested in the plot and characters as an artform. [Lying. She's stunning].

Because I knew it was political, I thought it might be dull. I was so wrong.

Love Nordic Noir so much. Fortuitously I had Borgen in reserve, after missing it originally, not sure why. I binge watched it last winter .... amazing.

We’ll have to wait a few years to see another series. On the radio today it was mentioned that the BBC and Mercurio are tied up in other joint projects for at least three years.

    H must be a corrupt senior officer in The Coastguard Service. The morse code blinked, spelt out: . . . - - - . . .

££££ milking it for more series. Giving a false ending for now that Buckles was the last corrupt individual. I’ll be glad if it does continue.

Hastings is appealing his forced retirement. I think and hope he’s part of it too. Perhaps a surprise entrant a couple of episodes in?

A well written article by Mercurio. Or, Buckells is taking the can, protecting higher corruption (Osborne, H, politicians)? The basis of the next season.

A young agile brain will help in recalling the deluge of character names and their interconnections. The list builds remorselessly through the series.

Let’s get this script going. Carmichael is assassinated by lesbian plump prison officers sporting angry faces accentuated by Croydon Facelifts. The Home Secretary, Pritti Blunkett secretly meets Hastings, Arnott and Fleming, to ask them to finish what they started.

I felt particularly cheated. Mrs.W had told me for ages that this last episode was going to be a 90 minutes special. She normally knows her onions. So at say 9:50, we still felt excited about the finale to come. The :( penny dropped when the captions appeared explaining charges being dropped...

Great point, the last 30 minutes did not have the feel of a crescendo. Instead, flat as a pancake.

    Line of Duty

A damp squib, what a letdown. In earlier series a really big fish was caught, often in great drama. This time a low ranking officer was the last man standing, in a nothing interview (albeit with a secret £3m in ill-gotten properties). A huge gaff from Mercurio. Paving the way I hope for...
