First place I has Spag Boll was 'The Cottage' down the alleyway at the top of middle street. In the mid 70's that was considered very continental :wink:
About the same time, or even earlier, the first Chinese I remember was the Nan King, middle street and the first Indian, the Ashoka in Church...

I once got taken to some sort of Thai place upstairs somewhere in southwick square about 10-15 years ago and it was excellent. The food was edible and the company brilliant, it's probably why I don't contribute to this thread much.

It's never been the same since they drained the goldfish pond about 50 years ago. Southwick, I don't know whether Crawley ever stretched to one :shrug:
