I am absolutely certain any data from it will be spun and lied about before it's made public, because that it what this government do. However, if it does some good by improving the efficiency of the disaster that is the current Track and Trace, then for me, it is worth downloading.
(I can't...
You mean like this sort of politics and petty control freakery ?
I assume you mean that If only someone had spotted this politics and control freakery earlier, we could have had a solution by now.
And yet it always seemed so well planned and thought through

NHS contact tracing app could be delayed until winter
Quite agree. Within suppliers, it's an unwritten rule to try and include legislative changes within Major releases. This ensures clients have to upgrade to the latest release by a certain date in order to remain compliant with the latest legislation
As you know, I've been retired from the business for 10 years now, but I'm still interested in learning about new methods and techniques that have occurred in the industry since I left, so I am interested in how you go about regression testing a brand new application ???
Well then you look at putting in place backup procedures for the minority who don't fit the criteria, knowing it will be nowhere near as efficient or as effective as it will be for the vast majority.
It's obvious that the moment you start moving outside of the critical 24 hr window the whole...
Being a simple person. I thought track and trace would be simple.
Step 1.
If you had symptoms you would go to your nearest track and trace drive through and get a test. (You would not need to book for later in the week, wait for a mobile testing centre to be set up, or check the post each...
The NHS Test and Trace system, which has been set up to prevent a second wave of coronavirus infections, is not expected to be “world-class” until September or October, according to leaked comments from a senior official...
So we'll assume that the whole app thing is a 'cherry' and isn't and was never a crucial part of the Track and Trace system the Government have just 'launched'.
Coronavirus test and trace system 'won't be fully operational until end of June', MPs told today...
To be fair to them, they have been consistently saying that this once key element is now the cherry, ever since it missed it's roll out date 2 weeks ago (and possibly before that when it was obvious it wasn't going to happen) ???
In fact, here is the opening post of the thread
Since the Government doesn't give any updates on the progress of this critical project (other than to push back the live date), I feel it is my civic duty to ensure that NSC is kept up to date with developments
I know that you have a reputation for saying stupid things, but you do realise the end result of incompetence on this project is that more people die
Just keeping up to date while all the Cummings stuff is taking the headlines. As of yesterday
How many Covid alerts have been issued by the NHS track-and-trace app being tested on the Isle of Wight? Only ONE person has been found... and it's the local MP's girlfriend...
I'm sorry, but the only reference to design or development of any of part of the system, in both those fairly lengthy articles, is this sentence from the first link
'NHSX, the NHS England innovation unit, is leading the project, and development of the app is reportedly being carried out by...
