I think PGMOL have dialled back on the apologies this season.
Only apologising for the ones making the maximum noise in the media.
Howard Webb underestimated the scale of the job when he took over.
He thought he'd make a few apologies when he first came in and then he would sort things out...
You're really sticking with your assertion that 1 yellow card (Adingra) by the 71st minute means the players had lost control?
The contentious point is the Dunk yellow.
That was the flash point.
What was it for?
I suspect he was feeling a bit sensitive when Dunky (as captain) remonstrated with the decision.
Mike Dean has already let us know that his mate AT doesn't like to be sent to the monitor.
Presumably he has a bit of a fragile ego. and doesn't like to be shown up as having missed something.
So...
Fair dos.
I stand corrected
It was just a f***ing weak argument, with a really cynical analogy.
doubling down after wrongly claiming the ref had issued 2 yellows prior to giving the red card. Due to "the players having lost control"
Still a good time to bow out, wouldn't you say?
Are you stating there were 2 yellow cards given before the penalty incident occurred, or two yellows during the decision directly before.
If the latter, I don't think so.
Ferguson was booked shortly after Dunk had been dismissed, and so was a Forest player.
Disagree. Take a look at the highlights on the clubsite.
I have seen many, many players use far more venom and foul language, escape any punishment.
Taylor was just being a pompous prick.
All fans do think the same.
Not every other club have the same level of evidence to support those claims though.
However De Zerbi has had 3 apologies for blatantly incorrect decisions and has been carded every time he oversteps the line.
He hasn't seen anything even itself out yet.
"I just think if he gives [Brighton's] penalty, he's got to give so many," he said. "The fact he's seen that in open play and not seen ours, needing VAR, sums up where refereeing is at. He is number one, apparently.
"I'm trying to be in the supportive camp, but then we see that. We've not...
Yeah the timing of it was pretty awful - Dahoud and Dunk suspended for the next 2 and 10 injuries.
Never thought I'd say this, but hopefully Milner will be ready for next week.
