We need to talk about Dale

I don't question the running of the club. I completely support 'not allowing players or agents to dictate unfair terms, seeking value in the transfer market, commitment to the academy and youth'. I also know Bloom has helped fund and rebuild the side multiple times. I'm hardly suggesting we...

We need to talk about Dale

Appreciate the extra couple of years works against Kayal's value and given how important he is to us that's perhaps why we haven't heard about any bids for him. I think we'd want a decent fee for him because he's worth a lot to us in what he brings to the team. Personally, I don't think selling...

We need to talk about Dale

If that's true and you know for a fact that TB won't let him run his contract down then that's interesting. Personally I hope he does let him run it down. If there are no further bids for Stephens then the club have no choice but to let him run his contract down anyway. Kayal has been pretty...

We need to talk about Dale

I know I'm perhaps being very naive and maybe that's because I'm so desperate for him to stay but I agree. There were no signs of a strop against Forest and it is possible CH is telling the truth. Time will tell!

We need to talk about Dale

That depends on whether or not you think having DS is the difference between promotion and another season in the Championship. I honestly think selling him could cost us promotion. £7m now or £170m & Premier League football?

We need to talk about Dale

I don't think it would be a problem. It's in his interests to play as well as he can every time he's on a football pitch. Every single one of our players would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League, they will all understand his situation. If the window shuts and DS is still here then...

We need to talk about Dale

I would keep him. If he throws a strop and doesn't play well because his head isn't right or whatever bollocks (I don't think he would fwiw) then he's only hurting his own prospects of a move next summer as why would a Prem club sign someone who'd just had a poor season? The best thing Dale can...

We need to talk about Dale

If we sign someone before we sell him, of equal or better ability, fine but I think that's unlikely to happen. Even if you could, you have no idea if there'll be a chemistry with Kayal. Stephens will get stuck in and battle, as well as being comfortable with the ball and an attacking threat...

We need to talk about Dale

Norwood did well but he's not as good an all rounder as Stephens. Neither is Sidwell. The money is irrelevant if it costs us promotion. I would happily keep him and let him go on a free next summer.

We need to talk about Dale

Thought we really missed him today and think he's a lot harder to replace than some people suggest. I'd be absolutely delighted if he's still here next month.
