Being more defensive is often quite Italian. And whilst Spurs were able to score twice (one a Son wonder goal, and the other a deflection), a more defensive team than them might not.
And yes we might lose to Atleti or Juve, but is that so bad for Brighton?
Yesterday we played an attacking game...
Following MOTD:
Should have been a penalty for the first handball. His arm was in a very unnatural position and he made contact with the ball = pen.
Mitoma's goal: It looks like it wasn't handball. An argument could be that although it looked like it wasn't, the footage wasn't clear enough to...
Sure, but when Mitoma scores a perfectly good goal that doesn't come down to a Potteresque 'well they couldn't convert their chances'. and likewise with all the penalty decisions. If the officials got the decisions right, we win the game. The stats can then simply backup that Spurs did not play...
The officials were indeed the worst, by a mile (corrupt or incompetent) but no, Spurs did not play well.
Watch the game (again if necessary) and check the stats. Also, regarding the stats, remember to include the shot on target for Mitoma's goal and our penalty(ies).
Goal was given. VAR ruled it out because it was sure the ball hit Mitoma's arm. But it didn't. So how can they be sure it hit his arm when it didn't ****ing hit his arm!!!
No, the Mac one is contested by people who aren't totally sure it hit his arm. If it definitely did, fine. But that's not...
I'd like to point out that I am not part of that syndicate, even though I took the odds. And no, it's not helping. I don't mind losing, but being completely cheated is too much to bear. Now I know how Andy Dufresne felt.
The incorrect decisions were made by VAR. VAR ruled out the goals, and didn't give the penalties (the Mitoma one wasn't easy for the ref to see). So it only needed the person in charge of VAR to be corrupt for the game to have been rigged. But even if he was incompetent rather than corrupt, the...
No, it's been ended by cheating officials. Maybe the Welbeck goal hit Ali's arm (I'm not sure it did) but Mitoma's goal wasn't handball and we should have had a couple of penalties. We've been absolutely cheated.
If at the end of that game you're placing the blame on Kane, I think you've completely missed the point. Even on your example of time wasting, it's the officials who should have added time on for that.
