Did you have the standard Echo? The Echo Dots (cheaper and smaller) should have them. They have a 3.5mm out.

Yes. Cheap cable from Alexa into the stereo. 'Alexa, play Little Richard'. Job done. Yes, so don't bother using that function. I have a timer on my cooker, but why use that when I can just ask alexa while my hands are full?

I've just ordered my 4th. Have you tried using one for an extended period?

That's the 2nd gen. Get the 3rd gen for £25 instead.
