I didn't say it was. They say it's about safety, so they target some roads, and then they say it's about safety again, and target completely different roads. I understand what you say about 'aterial' roads, but the reality is that people slow down for the cameras, not for the whole road.

When speed cameras were being put around the country, the most dangerous roads and trouble spots were supposed to be identified, and the cameras were supposed to slow motorists down and reduce accidents and serious injuries in those...
If the council wanted to come up with a scheme to use that space better, and provide an alternative for the traffic, then great. But they just seem intent on making anti car decisions for the sake of it. The 20mph scheme has to be the worst idea I've ever heard of. What was the point of it?
