Whenever I see the phrase "We don't play to their strengths" the alarm bells start ringing. You don't suddenly reconfigure your entire side to accomodate your new big money signing. Rather you buy a player that slots right into your existing work ethos and way of playing. We can do it in defence...

Patently just been chucked in for a start because the manager doesn't expect to get anything out of the game. Talk about throwing in the towel earlydoors. Disrespectful to the travelling support IMHO

So give him an extended run of games in the Under-23s where it doesn't matter so much. If he fails to show anything there then he's extremely unlikely to show anything at first team level anytime soon.
