Not so much 'anti Sam Baldock' as 'pro Top 2 Finish'. It's nothing personal, would be equally anti any 'striker' who consistently failed to produce the goods over a reasonable amount of games. Why would you NOT be? ???
Don't worry about it. Just takes longer for the penny to drop for some people than for others. There were folks on here defending CMS and COG right up to the point that they were shipped out. The same will apply with Baldock.
So you don't agree he was a young kid under massive pressure? Greer was on his last legs and Bruno was galivanting up the field. Who holds the fort in defence?
Absolute bollocks. You're defending a 'striker' who scored four goals all season? And another who went a dozen games without putting the ball in the net? And those were our first choice 'strikers', the other two being a veteran near-crippled with knee problems and a young kid crippled by a long...
Seem to have hit a raw nerve with criticism of Hemed. So be it. Let's put it simply Hemed and Baldock always seem to be TOILING. Like CMS and COG before them. The harder they try, the more the goals dry up. The Murray-Barnes partnership was a Golden Age by comparison. If that partnership had...
I'd be delighted also, if/when Hemed starts contributing goals from open play this season. Do we give him a dozen games firing blanks like we did last season? Just bored now of Albion players with the word 'striker' as their job title whose main skills seem to be either 'holding the ball up' or...
Both Baldock and Hemed will be judged primarily on the league goals they score this season. Let's hope they both take their opportunity to kick on, and not be totally eclipsed by Murray and Knocky.
