There seems to be this mad urge to majorly disfigure the seafront with overpriced crap like the i360, that dismal zipwire thing and before those the Brighton Eye, where the view and general experience was so lame that you got to go round three times. The council don't seem to realise what draws...

WAY more iconic and value-for-money things to see and do on a day trip to Brighton than go on that overpriced lame generic thing. Ditto for people who live here.

Not see it mentioned anywhere, but are there any Amex-style security checks on the i360? Frisking? Searching of backpacks? Only ask because I fairly recently did the very excellent Sky Garden viewing from the top of the walkie-talkie building in London town and the levels of security there were...

Very much doubt you'd be able to see Falmer from the i360. If you could, that would imply you could see the i360 from Falmer. Which would mean a three-ring circus Public Inquiry. with the usual Falmer/LDC suspects whining on about their weekend period of quiet repose being disturbed by upward...

Really looking forward to the inaugural flight full of self-important local dignitaries having to be rescued when the thing breaks down at the top of the pole, as it surely must. Them's the rules :lol:
