Why would the club even bother with such an admin-heavy system?

even for Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham (Wembley), West Ham (Olympic Stadium), Palace, Southampton, Bournemouth??

We have had similar conversations in the pub etc... and yes, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans missing out on away trips next season. The 1901'ers already get significant benefits for the extra cash they put in... for me, the loyalty points seem an unnecessary step too far.
