Given that I probably owe my life to past research for Prostate Cancer I’m participating in the Walk a 100 miles in May for Prostate Cancer Research. Completed 100 miles today but am going for the double with 200 miles by the end of the month.
If you’ve a quid or two to spare and you wish to...
Best of luck, I was very apprehensive before mine, not anywhere near as bad as I thought, and told me I needed a prostatectomy, which, in turn, has saved my life. Good luck pal, as always, here to chat with anyone if they wish.
It's strange, for someone whose had prostrate cancer, and had the entire prostrate removed, when people are saddened by someone's diagnosis. When I fully appreciated what the huge advantage is of an early diagnosis I felt incredibly lucky. I know it's only a phrase but PLEASE everyone, if you...
I've been very much where you are and my PSA went crazy and I had an Op within days. Very happy to chat things through with you, answer any questions or just listen, feel free to PM me or any of the others, we're all one big family, take care T
It just seems odd that someone having the same Op as me, but getting PSA results from a different hospital, has the all-clear, but could have a reading of 0.05, and I'm at 0.02-0.04 and not had the all clear?
Has my prostrate removed two years ago. I'm still undergoing PSA checks as there's still a trace. Initially it showed 0.02, then three quarterly checks of 0.03, and my last of 0.04. Ironically, in some hospitals anything less than 0.05 is registered as 0.0, so I wouldn't be worried, but I am!
I'm always around for a cuppa or a pint if you wish, been through this and, fortunately, come out the other side, there were so many questions that I had, and so many I hadn't even thought of, as I say I'm here if anyone needs me.
I still go for that even though I've had my prostrate out .... only joking chaps
BUT SERIOUSLY - IF ANYONE HAS ANY SYMPTONS JUST GET IT CHECKED IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!
