If he was consistent, he'd be playing for a bigger, maybe even top 6 team. I honestly think some Brighton fans' expectations of our player is far too high. They're also very unforgiving.
He got the goal against Wigan that sealed our promotion, so when the new PL shirts came out later that summer, MARCH 20 was what I had put on the back of my shirt. I'm still proud of having that.
I don't know. I looked at his profile on the OS, because I wanted to check he definitely had an assist (and not my dodgy memory) and all his stats are there.
I agree and he is improving, despite his critics. I think sometimes, they just see what they want to see.
His development, which some are bringing up in their posts, was dramatically halted for 12 months at a vital time, when his cruciate ligament went at Derby. He was timid when he first came...
Can't beat his man? I've just watched the extended highlights on Seagulls Tv (just £5 per month) and seen him beat three men in one run, and beat others later in the match.
Maybe you forgot after the match?
He also beat 3 men to try to score, and was blocked when he took a shot.
The critics are concentrating on his crosses, and ignoring the other aspects of his play. He won several corners and it isn't his fault, Murray, Dunk and Duffy, don't seem to able to convert corners.
I saw him lose it with the linesman & also diving in. I wasn't surprised when Hughton subbed him, but I was surprised at the booing in the North stand at the substitution.
I think Hughton deserves more credit than that.
