    I just don't think the Premier League is the cash cow that people think it is. Players are paid an obscene amount of money. Clubs that have been in the Prem can struggle after relegation without further investment.

    The club announced their financial affairs with a total wage bill of £22 million. That includes the CEO, every player, manager, coaches, shop worker & stewards. I cannot see that one player would be getting more than £2 million.

    The tv money and parachute payments take care of that. It's a gamble paying out high wages and then falling away at the last hurdle. Even if we got Rhodes there is no guarantee that we would finish in the top two and the playoffs are just a lottery. I don't think we're in for him.
