No; rewarded for his consistently superb performances since he signed his last contract.
It's clear that Zaha loves Palace. He could easily have tried to force a move several times in the last few transfer windows, but he hasn't. I'm sure he'd have taken the chance to play Champions League...
We have a very valuable asset that we were desperate to keep. Chelsea and Spurs both wanted to sign Zaha but weren't willing to pay our £75m asking price. As a result, we get to keep our best player. Zaha is rewarded with a new contract which ensures that he's kept happy and means that Palace...
There's a clear distinction between hoping that a Champions League club come in for him and "saying that he wants to leave."
I'm sure that Wilf would have been excited to sign for Chelsea had they met our valuation, but at no point did he suggest that he was unhappy at Palace or that he'd like...
There's no release clause.

Max Meyer, as you well know, doesn't have wages even close to £170k per week.
You can't just throw out silly statement after silly statement, you won't get a single bite. You need to make some of the post at least semi-reasonable if you want to lure people in.
That includes last season's unbelievable barren run and a season at Liverpool where he was regularly benched.
He has scored 19 goals in a season for Villa, 15 for us. Benteke has been an excellent goalscorer in the past and it's quite possible that he could be again.
He got 15 in his first season for us. If he suddenly remembers how to kick a football then he could beat that figure. Something went badly wrong for him last season but that doesn't change the fact that over his career he has been a very good goalscorer in the Premier League.
Surely you've worked out that we'll be in the Premier League forever and ever? It doesn't matter how badly it looks like we're doing, we'll always turn it around
Because the transfer window isn't closed yet? We've rejected £45m from Spurs and £30m + Drinkwater from Chelsea. They're obviously working up to a bid of that size, I only hope we don't accept it.
Last season, sure. The season before that he was exceptional. Overall I think he has worked out...
Benteke's first season was superb, his second season... less so. 3 goals and 5 assists is dissapointing for a player of his quality and we'll expect better in future. Overall though I think it's very unfair to argue that he has been a poor signing.
A petition started by the sort of nonce that...
Those five seasons have been utterly mental, and great fun too. Benteke was signed for an initial £27m (not £35m) and scored 15 PL goals in his first season; nobody was complaining about the fee then!
