Having rewatched all the Craig Bond’s over the last fortnight CR remains my favourite but Spectre is now my second favourite. I saw it at the cinema and then not until last week. It really holds its own and is superior to most of his other outings. I encourage a rewatch, it’s much better than it...
I thought the same. Given the baddies’ habits of creeping out of the past I think Bond would have stayed alive to keep an eye on them from afar.
Would he have been upset enough to essentially kill himself like that? Up to that point his family connection had consisted of peeling an apple...
True. Though I choose Odeon because I’ve got a Limitless card so for 9.99 a month I can see as many films as I like. Plus it’s very easy for me to get to. But Cineworld is nice now.
Cruise cast Cruise as Reacher. He produces nearly all his own films, it’s the only way he can insure himself to do his own stunts and action stuff at 50+.
And yes, he is awful in that role. In fact those two films are altogether rubbish.
I still think one of the best Bond openings is Brosnan’s bungee off the dam in Goldeneye. The silence as he jumps is breathtaking.
For pure, perfectly executed, cinematic stunt work you’d have to go along way to beat it. It still holds up some 25/26 years later.
Quite the intro for Brosnan...
No. He can be good in the right film. Bond isn’t that film. He’d make an awful Bond.
Henry Lloyd-Hughes or James Norton would be my choices.
As for NTTD, I really enjoyed it. Yeah, there’s bits that it could have done without, it’s not massively original, it’s a bit long (I didn’t notice the...
Saw it. I won’t give any details but to say it’s good. It’s very good. A fitting end to Craig’s tenure and he is going to be hard to top.
I think they got it absolutely spot on. See it at the cinema.
Maybe discuss it a bit more when more people on here have seen it.
It really is isn’t it. Not many real, no catch bargains out there but this is great. They clearly state it’s I’ll go up by £3 after three months when full programs come back to the cinemas. £12 is still smashing.
Enjoy the film!
I’ve avoided reviews but reports are very good indeed. Off to see it tomorrow. Rejoined Odeon Limitless which is now down from a great value £18 pm to a frankly amazing £9.50 pm. The cost of one adult to see NTTD off peak is £12 alone so vey well worth it.
Feeling a bit green today but might...
I’m convinced that if boffins invented something that could be smashed into the memory area of our brains that gave us the detailed memory of having watched a full series without having to watch it, a fair number of people would be sitting all day long smashing memories of series and films...
You never can tell with Bond films but if think we are in for something a bit special and this title song only reinforces that. I love it.
Form what I remember all the new themes have had some harsh critics. Chris Cornell’s You Know My Name was panned being declared “too rock” for Bond. But...
Totally agree. I avoid trailers if it’s for a film I want to see.
Anther thing that struck me as odd is you now get trailers for the trailer. If you watch one on YouTube more often than not after pressing play, you get a 5 second burst of the film and a title that reads, for example “Terminator...
