cant disagree with what you said there, but for every Ulloa that comes from aborad and does well theres 3 or 4 that cannot adapt to the style of our game and pace etc, just look at that Rodriguez bloke for example, and some of the foreign playes in the ds in the past few seasons

rather than keep searching for a marquee striker for about 2million to 4 million, or a free transfer, or a budget foreign striker that doesnt know the english game, would it be sensible to take a punt on a proven striker from league 1 or league 2 ? im thinking someone of the 6ft plus mould...
