Yeah that is a good question...
Felt a bit bad for the ref, he saw nothing or very little from his angle and looked a bit desperate for VAR to tell him what the hell happened but quite obviously they told him it was nothing... which is f***ed up.
If Belgium can't abuse the oceans of space Canada are giving them, they'll struggle, to say the least, to break down better teams.
Impressed by Hutchinson. When I saw him play for Helsingborg like 20 years ago I wouldn't have imagined him, or Canada at all, playing in the World Cup in 2022.
You mean the Costa Rica, population 5 million, that knocked out England in 2014?
CONCACAF is on the up... four teams is about right.
Think they have a very promising team and could be strong in 4 years and decent now, but think Belgium are going to beat the shit out of them tonight.
Costa Rica are usually decent. Remember the 2014 World Cup where they won the group battling Uruguay, Italy and England. Not quite the same level now but also not as weak as they might seem today - Spain are just very good.
Yup. At first I thought it was silly to just give away the first half, showing too much respect for the Germans. But probably conserved a lot of energy that ended up useful.
Not half as strange as saying their celebrations are strange.
Thats how it feels when a smaller football nation win against one of the big ones. You'll never know that feeling.
Japan need to take some chances and push their team higher up the pitch or they might not have a shot on goal this game.
Germany looking pretty tidy tbh
Don't have to watch this as I'm not writing a match report.... perfect moment for a break and to watch Sweden vs Turkey in the Curling World Cup (or Euros or whatever the f*** it is)... yet this is probably the most exciting game today so might just have a little peek.
