Had a Chronic Cellars ‘La Muneca’ from 2016 this evening, now that’s interesting, it’s good, really good, but quite unusual, you think it’s going to be really, heavy, and then It’s not, the wonders of wine, love it.
I agree fully that it’s an acquired taste, and needs to be kept carefully in my experience. Maybe try the Musar Jeune, same maker, similar blend but much younger and more consistent, and blumming delicious too, you can get it from Averys Wine online.
At the moment the 2014 is pretty much the only one out they’re for sale, and it’s cheaper to buy it here than direct from the cellar door in Australia. And that price really is rather good.
Get onto Hailsham Cellars, order a bottle, or two, of St Hallett Old Block Shiraz, it is in my opinion the finest bottle of wine you will find for £50.
It truly is tremendous.
