I don't think we need to revert to that, but a bit of common sense in fixture planning wouldn't go amis. Much of the Lower leagues get small enough crowds these days as it is, making a 300+ mile round trip on a Tuesday night isn't really right IMO.
Can't believe that the fourth division has Tuesday night games between Carlisle and Luton, Plymouth and Orient, Portsmouth and York, and in the Conference Chester v Dover, Woking v Tranmere. It surely cannot be beyond the ability of the leagues to make Tuesday night games more 'local', not just...
