Unsurprisingly, that's where I heard them too. I recently bought a compilation CD, the cover of which (below) suggests that you are right. Wikipedia has them listed under Finnish Rock bands and Finnish Rockabilly Bands. I thought the tune, 'Coming out Soon' was near enough to garage to include.
