I kicked NetFlix into touch about a month ago - haven't regretted it in the slightest.
It was amazingly straightforward too, a couple of clicks and your out whenever your next payment is due. So time it right and you'll get a final month to watch The Battered B**#£"ds of Baseball, one last...
If you haven't, you absolutely must watch 'The Battered B*****ds of Baseball'.
It's not about baseball - it's a love story, with one of the best 'where are they now' group reveals I've ever seen.
Plus Crime and Punishment about The Danbury Trashers - that's just mentals from start to finish.
I've watched the first Wednesday, after a bit of thought I've decided it's a little too 'April Ludgate', which is fine esp if you don't know Ms Ludgate's character.
Dunno if I'll carry on.
I worked with a fella who for all intents and purposes had Flight of the Concords created for him, and only him.
Every week I'd tell him 'you must watch BBC4 tonight'.
The next day 'nah I forgot'.
This went on through both series, he never watched.
Finally catching a rerun - suffice to say I...
Ah Storyville yes - I couldn't place the collective 'umbrella' of the documentary I saw.
I was put onto the story by a podcast, then found the Storyville.
Not seen this version.
DB Cooper Where Are You?
I've not seen this documentary, but am aware of the case through a couple of different sources.
If you like this kind of caper I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this.
Watching Longboarding from LA to NY.
A bunch of Rupert's on an unprepared jaunt, skateboarding across the US for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Everything about it should be really eyerolling, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it.
Once again, and as always, the winners are the good...
Is anyone else a bit done with Netflix?
The last good original film I watched was Don't Look Up.
I've not found a 'that'll do' film quite a while, either.
And I'll have to check back through this thread for whatever was the last mini season - so hardly memorable.
I wish I could get HBO...
:lolol:
There is a thread here for Channel 4's offerings - I can never find it either, and I started the bloody thing.
4 IPlayer has such an identity crisis.
This afternoon I was listening to Off Menu - with Tom Davis.
Acaster did the customary promo for The Curse.
Gamble responds with:-...
Oh man, not on Netflix but, How To with John Wilson, is phenomenal.
He was living in a area of New York that got taken over by a film crew.
*narrator's voice*
"It was surprisingly easy to turn our block into war torn Afghanistan" :lolol:
Then cut between the scenes and real life.
No set...
