It's amazing how in 120 years we've gone from:-
A spectacular upsidedown flying train carrying 80,000 a day round town.
To
A 2 tonne metal box, which kills hundreds of thousands a year and if it doesn't get you in the short term it will kill you in the long term, carrying one person.
I wonder if the monumental ballache that it was giving car drivers led to a reduction in traffic also assisting with the congestion.
I do accept such ballaches aren't ideal to stop car dependency, but it was fun while it lasted.

Except for the one section from the Broadwater bottleneck to the Morrisons bottleneck.
