The thing with The Charlatans is, as much as I love TOOIK, if anyone had piped up with any one of a half dozen tracks that are better, I'd have backed down.

I thought I was onto something with The Charlatans and The Only One I know. It's a cracking track even though The Charlatans have released some brilliant singles. But according to Wiki Indian Rope :shrug: charted at the dizzying heights of 89 before hand.

I guess I mean best single release, probably :shrug: If you want to do 'obscure album tracks and b-sides that were better than all the singles released by a band', then knock yourself out.

I hate to say it but faux pendantry is not becoming. OWN IT.

Having just heard it on the wireless I give you:- I remember thinking it was pretty good, on release. Yet everything else since has either been, at best the same, very poor, or disappearing up their own backside (no pun intended).
