I ought to caveat myself a little here.
With £40m parachute payment coming in Id love for the club (Tony) to shell out on the odd vanity project.
Bobby's one goal would be glorious and worth every penny.
Adding Bennett to a squad of excellent wingers makes perfect sense.
But I just don't see...
He was hardly the proven performer when last at the club.
An incredibly brave (or stupid) poster could make the claim, 'if Bennett wasn't so poor CoG, Bent, Best et al might have been productive'.
Sure he was coming back from injury, the Albion was basically Norwich reserves, and he had a good...
Why spend a decent amount of money on a player who has had a career threatening injury, not long after a bad injury having played nonexistent football in loan spell and ok in one game.
Oh yes that's right, because he was fantastic 5 years ago, when previously playing for the Albion.
As with...
That'll be in a division lower, 5 seasons, 2 serious injuries & 1 less than inspiring loan deal ago.
I'll be disappointed if EB were deemed the saviour of our assist woes.
I completely agree.
This Summer on NSC has been totally devoid of any imagination, and I've got suckered right into it.
Sure my 'names' are just that meaningless names with a decent season last year and a pretty showreel.
It's been my over the top reaction to some god awful narrow minded threads.
If he were at another club would you be happy for the Albion to sign Crofts?
Alternatively
If an offer came in for Crofts would you be happy for the club to accept it?
No I'm saying if a 10 minute rudimentary Wiki search, by a fat postman, can find talented wingers perhaps it's time to cast the player recruitment net a little further than the end of your nose.
Esp if we are to believe the club is one of this highest payers in one of the worlds most expensive...
So lets employ, on top dollar, a player who's come bloody close to already having a career ender.
After all lightening does strike twice does it? what could possibly go wrong?
If only one of:-
Armando Vajushi
Garry Rodrigues
Geoffrey Mujangi Bia
Sylvester Igboun
Thorsten Schick
Nikolaos...
So was Kemy, Harley & Hoskins.
There's a whole world of fit, injury free wingers, out there, desperate to make a name for themselves in English football.
Why saddle yourself with another sick note, just because he once played for the Albion.
But are you judging him on the player he was 3 and a half years ago?
That EB is very different to the one who has now had at least 2 decent injuries, one serious, and has only started 7 (seven) league games in 2 full seasons.
If so I think you are being equally harsh.
