I'm so glad we've had a small move of seats for this season. For the last 2 we have sat directly in front of Stephens & Bong's biggest and loudest critic. Some other poor bugger will have to put up with "forward Stephens" & "why can't you defend", bellowed a 100 times every game.

Because it's already been explained. Mooy plays considerably further up the pitch than Stephens. He spends more time in the opposition's half than his own. That doesn't sound like a direct replacement for Stephens to me.

You really have to be a bit special if you think Mooy is here to challenge Stephens, for his place in the team.

My take on that was 'who are you going to replace him with for 'only' £3m?'. Admittedly I was coming at that from a just how ludicrous is football finance stance, but the point still stands. £3m was taking the pi$$ for our second best central midfielder, and yet plenty wanted the cash.
