No one eating out any more ?
I found myself with an hour to spare in Brighton tonight so went to the excellent pub The Pond to try their roast meat Bao. Priced at £14 it consisted of 4 Bao buns, roast chicken, beef & pork meats complete with lettuce and 8 different condiments and toppings.

Yes pretty good. Interesting Napalese menu as well as usual Indian stuff
Love The Urchin but my new missus is allergic to shellfish... it could be a deal breaker if I'm honest
I might need some Berlin tips as off in 2 weeks for a family trip!
Busy little weekend for me...
Black Horse, Binstead (near Arundel)
Having just got back from holiday and no food in the house fancied a pub dinner on Friday. Was recommended Black Horse in Binstead, just West of Arundel/Ford. It is a free house and menu is quite gasto-pub'y. Beer on cask was...
Where's good in London for steak? I used to be a Hawksmoor regular and never let me down, not been for a while but is there better? Usually go Seven Dials.
I am a big Goodmans fan from my time in Canary Wharf as prefer USDA beef, but it's for a Saturday and Mayfair is too far, city branch...
Been a busy boy in London this week.
Firstly a lunch at Flat Iron in Soho. The premise is there is 1 main - a Flat Iron steak costing £11, occasionally there is a 'special' different cut steak about £14-£16. Sides are £3-5 and have the usual - beef dripping chips, greens etc. Steak was a good...
Incidentally I had a Trolls for the first time Saturday. Must admit I maybe expected a bit more. I just went for the Troll Special or whatever it was and while it was nice, especially the patties I was not blown away. There wasn't enough sauce to really taste it and the burger was a bit...
Just seen this ! My fave pub near me and my go to place for a Sunday Roast if I need one. Agree re: starters, they have a very strong team of chefs. Be interested to see what you think on a normal menu.
I went to the Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch, London this week. Not been before but managed to get a table at 7pm and it was pretty packed. Service was good (very friendly waitresses....) food is typical BBQ fare really.
Started with the Goat Tacos which were really good I thought and probably...
Its been on here somewhere.
Decent place IMO. Not a fan of the small patties and the side dishes are way to big but a decent burger.
The boys at Salsa Viva have now opened their permanent restaurant in Worthing too. Proper Mexican grub, worth checking out.
Had another very good roast at the Gun Inn in Findon today. It's a lovely pub and the food has always been of a high quality since the current owners have been there (5+years?) husband wife team, with the chef having worked in some top London restaurants.
Firstly it's not cheap, £14-£17...
Copied from 2016 thread
So a couple of bits from new year period.
The excellent Crescent Road in Worthing looks like it will be changing hands end of January. The owners had previously moved back from Australia to U.K. to open the restaurant but are now planning to move back. They're planning...
