Right decision , to much controversy, I think his interest has faded recently with his new celeb girlfriend and other business interests.
Tough job for the new CEO
Shit for new staff but 4.5% pay rise for existing. What’s everyone else’s pay rises been like recently ?
Given it’s a loss making business, next step will be job losses I guess
I sold a few hundred of EFP2 shares for £16 odd, thanks to HT many years ago for a tip off on the raise. Still hold 400 which I’ll wait for the IPO, but the TSG guarantee is looking a bit scary to me. The benefits alone have paid out a huge amounts
It is impossible to be a business of a reasonable size in international markets without hypocrisy.
Just look at pride month, LGBT etc. most international brands ‘use’ it, except in markets where it might cause them difficulty.
How can a major bank have diversity & inclusion teams all over...
I assume those that drink Coca Cola, drive a Kia or Hyundai, drink Budweiser, have any form of Visa card will all be boycotting those products or presumably supporting the Qataris ?
Or selling beer to the Qatari government to be sold within the country.
But to be honest I think all things can coexist and it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
They value themselves at whatever Billion - but revenues are only £200M or so - and they are the biggest independent brewer in the UK I suspect - but still 100x smaller than the biggest in the UK
I do think the investment they took from TSG and the expected return, which looks like BrewDog will struggle to hit the targets for has also put unncessecary strain at the top which then filters down
To be fair BrewDog are very clear that they are not competing against the small breweries, with small output of very high quality and expensive beers. What they are aiming for is taking market share from the big beer co's masquerading as craft beer. The latest trade reports reflect some success...
It is difficult. I do think there are some fundamental issues with the culture at BrewDog, and I do think it stems from James Watt being involved in everything and not very trusting. The amount of CFO's they have had that left within a year (who joined from big companies) because they 'don't fit...
All a bit of waffle really. A lot of that was explained - James Watt owned the freehold for a number of the pubs and offices, but has now disposed of all but 1 or 2 I think. All the rents were independently assessed at fair market rates. The reality was BrewDog did not want the investment of...
Misunderstanding I think, Manifest accepted it wasn’t related and I think are still working with BD.
The American job interview thing was stupid / ridiculous. The candidate tried to invoice BrewDog for her time (and for a gift of cookies!!!) for the interview process
