Have a newly acquired ticket for Kraftwerk at RAH so looking forward to it a lot having read many positive comments on this thread! Got back from my 7th Primavera on Sunday - wonderful weekend as ever with perhaps slightly fewer stand out acts than usual - very much enjoyed Broken Social Scene...

Probably able to commit mor enthusiastically now that his character ha seen written out of Game of Thrones. Seriously, he looks scarily like Ramsay Bolton! Really pleased they've managed to make the move work - deserved by all parties, Picked up tickets for Richard Dawson this week, as well...

All Saints is an atmospheric building but the sight lines are terrible and they criminally oversell it - with those massive pillars down either side it is impossible for everyone in there to have a view of the stage. Will also not forget the acoustics on the Deerhunter gig there for a while (not...

Oh and also, much as I have huge sympathy with promoter, would much of this chaos and confusion not have been avoided if a venue with a track record of hosting live music had been booked in the first place - not sure how many tickets were sold for a Clarendon but surely TOM, Haunt, Corn...

Selfishly pleased as means I can now go, although I realise this is a nightmare for many, especially London based fans (including a pair of friends who had tickets but will presumably have to pass them on now). Transport sounds like a nightmare though, I just don't really fancy piling onto a...

Hmm. Ask me 8 years ago and I would have scoffed if you'd suggested missing a local Flips gig, but not sure I can be bothered with this one. I haven't spent much time with the new album - what's going to sell me on this tour? Anything new?

Bugger it - missed Thee Oh Sees tickets. They were absolutely amazing both times they played Primavera in 2015 and 2016. That will be an amazing gig.

Ha. So you witnessed that most bizarre of gig experiences as well then?!

I enjoyed the gig but I thought the crowd were terribly flat. May have been asking for too much given that last time I saw them was about 2 in the morning at Primavera where there was inevitably a more raucous atmosphere, but I thought it was noticeably flat for the kind of band PC are. Stars...

Busy gig week this week. Who else was at Swans on Saturday night? Despite the weirdly early start it was another amazing set - probably not quite as good as their last show at Concorde 2, which was in support of a better album, but they are still one of the best live bands in the world...

Tickets cost £40-60. The gig market has gone MAD! Would love to see this having seen and followed many times over the years, but that is a frankly insane cost, especially considering they play most of the album in a regular tour for a third of the price.

Yes yes yes. Can't wait. Although I hope they are going to do an encore of Zoom!, Phantom Power and The Man Don't Give a **** though. Believe I'm right in saying that the last time SFA played a Brighton gig that wasn't Together the People was about 13 years ago for the Phantom Power tour, also...

Have a lot of sympathy with them trying to put on a festival and sure that the way numbers stack up now mean that for the size they are going for this is about the line up they can realistically afford. I just think they could do so much better with the undercard. Not even looking for 'bigger'...

Such a shame. It's such a perfect opportunity forms decent frstival but they seem intent on making it as MOR as possible. I love both the headliners and would love to see them, but charging £55 a day for that line up is ridiculous (compare to Field Day, for example). Hoping there will be so,e...

We saw them when they first reformed at the Roundhouse. Nice to see love but was very disappointed that they chose to play some terrible 29 minute bass dirge, and didn't play a single thing off Adventjre. Have they changed their set at all?

Beach House for me tonight. Not massively excited as I've always found them a fairly uninspiring live act. A real shame that the gig was moved from De la Warr, my favourite local venue, to All Saints Hove, which is a nice building but terrible venue for live music, even though it is a leisurely...

So The Boss' UK dates clash directly with Primavera. Bugger. Think I would probably have picked a weekend in Barcelona over an evening at The Ricoh, on balance, though! Hope so,e others are able to go.

Enjoyed the Kirt Vile gig last night. Seems to have taken a step back towards a fairly ramshackle set with lots of tuning between songs and incomprehensible 'banter', after the fairly polished show he did on the 'Walking on a Pretty Daze' tour, but was better for it in some ways. Was glad I...

Putting a load of reverb on the vocals and guitars seems entirely unnecessary in a venue which would do that for you naturally.
