I've watched a number of the u21 games that Southgate has been in charge of. He is a dull manager, with limited ideas and has no clue how to use good players. He is a yes man and will not take this England team forward in any meaningful way.
We were 2-0 up at 89 mins....and drew 2-2...can you imagine a decent team throwing away a two goal lead like that. We cannot keep the ball. Same old shit.
Someone like Joachim Low, Aragones, Fernando Santos, Bert Van Mawijk, Marcello Lippi, Domaenech, Phil Scolari.......
None of those played (m)any games for their national team and it didn't hurt them.
Which is why they went for Allerdyce and not an up and coming manager, it is a surefire way to ruin a CV for a younger manager.
I would prefer someone like Warnock, he at least seems able to get more out of a team in a relatively short space of time, and I am sure he would prefer the stop-start...
