[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

BBTS is cheap cheesy fun lifted by George Peppard playing for laughs and Robert Vaughan even funnier playing it very ernest. ....And Sybil Danning's ridiculous costume. And John Saxon's baddy .... And a belting soundtrack.

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

yep, the bloated, new 'original' film is basically the first 40minutes of 'Battle Beyond the Stars' but with less interesting characters and a LOT more money. In fairness BBTS was hardly original as it was The Magnificent Seven in space and The Magnificent Seven was Seven Samurai as a western...

Enjoyed 'Sisu'. Near the end of WW2 an ageing Finnish gold prospector has his find confiscated by some Nazis. So he kills them and then sets off to kill lots more. 90minutes. Very, very violent. (A lot shorter than John Wick 4)

'Rebel Moon' isn't. Goodness knows how much they spent on it. 'Battle beyond the stars' is better ... And shorter.

Got rid of it until the clocks to back.

[TV] Netflix - What's good to watch?

Watched 'Bank Of Dave' the other day. One of those well intentioned, nicely acted, plucky brit type of films. 'Made In Dagenham', 'Pride', that sort of thing. Easy watching, good natured. If you do fancy watching it don't read up on the true story before seeing the film.

Couldn't get through that and I'm pretty robust when it comes to grim.

'Baby Driver' is up on there. If you like it you will really like it. If you don't you'll think it's shit. I really like it. For fans of 'True Romance'.

Watched 'Boiling Point' last night. Excellent. 9O minutes of Stephen Graham as a chef who starts out stressed out and then things get progressively worse. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11127680/?ref_=ttawd_awd_tt
