I rate Vydra as a very good Championship striker but question marks over his Prem ability.

I can't see us being in for Vydra now we have Locadia. What we need to do is focus our resources on finding a Harry Kane-style forward. I really like the look of the lad on loan at Celtic from PSG - Odsonne Edouard. Him, Locadia and Izquierdo would have plenty of strength, pace and power.

Vydra an upgrade on Baldock, I think Derby have got a decent player there.

The Argus quoted Vydra's agent as saying the player chose Reading over the Albion partly because they both believed the Albion had enough strikers in Hemed, Zamora and Baldock and that the player wanted game time. Maybe he got the game time at Reading and now it's a case of "show me the money"...

It is for this reason that Derby would be a bad move for the player, in the same way that Pritchard moving to Norwich was a bad move. There's too many players looking for the pay cheque rather than game time.

Vydra is MADE for the Albion, this is a no-brainer deal like the Zamora and Murray deals - just do what it takes to get it done.
