The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

Well done Joseph. Although Vana's idea was a money pit you could see that girl going on to run a huge business in the future. Enjoyable series although this mess with business plans being unworkable has to be fixed. A prerequisite in order to be a candidate has to be a business plan that is...

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

I've done that and I think what you're saying is that Sugar's willing to take a manageable loss in Year 1 but likes to have his £250K back in the bank by the end of Year 2, he hasn't taken much of a risk. Sugar described himself as a gambler on this week's show but his track record shows him to...

But the accounts show that the money in the bank is only £190K, so £60K has gone right there.

Companies House website documents shows Dr Leah Ltd - 50% owned by Leah Totton, 50% owned by Sugar (via one of his companies). She put in £100 for 100 shares, Sugar's company put in £250,000 for 100 shares. The £250,100 went into the company bank account, the company made a loss of £50K in Yr...

"Sugar got that one right, but when blond Charleine stares into your eyes and says "I've lost a child and I'm willing to work my socks off" for the EIGHTH time, the decision's made, isn't it?" She was two word away, just two words. Swap "work my" for "blow your" and she's got the gig.

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

Sugar got that one right, but when blond Charleine stares into your eyes and says "I've lost a child and I'm willing to work really, REALLY hard" the decision's made, isn't it?

When these 600 people were dancing to his tune was it at that point he got the idea for a mobile disco?

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

What WAS he thinking? If you take him at his word he managed 600 staff and a budget of £1 billion, but has swapped that for mobile disco hire @ £350 a night. The guy needs to go on holiday, regather his thoughts, then get a proper £30,000 a year job with Morrisons and forget that this whole...

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

Alan Sugar is 68. Does he REALLY want to get involved in a plumbing business at this stage of his life, even if it is going to turn a profit? I think he should fire himself for letting things get to this point.

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

What bloke is going to want to go on a date with a bird that routinely beats him at brain games? The ONLY way this idea has legs is if Vana can somehow devise COCKPIC CLUEDO or MAMMARY MONOPOLY.

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

I'm don't dispute that the business could be successful but the concept of expanding a plumbing business into The Wash and surrounding areas is not one that makes for captivating TV.

The bit I'm looking forward to is how Joseph is going to sell the dream to his massive audience of expanding Impra-Gas Ltd from his Peterborough base to Cambridge, Grantham and - who knows - maybe even Northampton!

Wrong name, wrong nationality. You do know she's the one with the tits, right?

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

As usual, The Apprentice reaches interview stage and turns into a very bad episode of Dragon's Den. Gary's business plan was a joke - a mobile disco with an app for those wishing to attend stag parties by proxy?! Charlene's hairdressing franchise was naive, a complete non-starter, so bad she...

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

The show is still entertaining but tonight was pure face palm stuff. Shocking ineptitude from some quarters. It's been clear for some weeks that Richard, Vana, Scott and Joseph are the standout candidates. Charlene's boardroom gaffe has put her in the firing line, Brett will be gone soon...

Two thoughts: 1. I'm fired. 2. Will she never learn?

The Apprentice (series 11) - official thread

For all the frustrations I have with the show at the tail-end of the series when business plans turn out to be non-starters it is worth it for the sort of quality viewing we got last night. Elle was one of the worst PMs of all time. Fired without even being given the opportunity to nominate...

Right decision by Sugar although, again, a candidate almost talked themselves into getting fired. Natalie managed to disappoint Sir Alan and insult Karren at the same time. Have these candidates never watched the show before and learned how to play the game? It's like de ja vu all over again.

Dan talked himself into being fired there. April did almost nothing right other than nominating Dan to bring back into the boardroom.
